HONOR CORDS, MEDALLIONS & STOLES
Chicago-Kent College of Law does not provide cords, medallions or stoles to graduates as part of the commencement regalia. Chicago-Kent recognizes the tradition of accessories such as cords, medallions, and stoles in symbolizing academic achievement and the value of acknowledging involvement in law school organizations. Only graduates affiliated with college-approved student organizations are permitted to wear a cord during the commencement ceremony. Graduates may purchase cords through their student organizations only. The student organization leader should contact the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs to place an order for their organization.
Cords, medallions, and stoles not provided by a student organization are not permitted at the commencement ceremony.
