Judicial Externship Opportunity - New

Summer Judicial Externship with Judge Lloyd Brooks

Judge Lloyd Brooks, Cook County Chancery Division, is now accepting applications for a Summer 2024 Judicial Externship.  Students would review packets, observe court hearings, and learn behind the scenes action at the Daley Center, one of the busiest courthouses in the Country.

To apply for a Summer 2024 externship, applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and transcript to his clerk Emily Boozer at emily.boozer@cookcountyil.gov.  You must apply no later than April 5.  If you are accepted for an externship with Judge Brooks, you will need to enroll in the four credit Judicial Externship Program course.  Please email Jon Decatorsmith and Michael Oakes so you can get a permit to register for the externship program.
